The stories and experiences of others have great power to remind us what we are capable of, and clarify dreams, goals and passions. For a number of years Cindy has attended local schools as a motivational speaker where she offers insights into small business management and success, and engaging in valuable community activities.
“The support of Cindy Westphalen and Cindy’s Classic Gourmet is invaluable to the school for the Australian Business Week initiative. Our students always speak positively of Cindy’s passion and enthusiasm for small business within the local community, and are highly motivated after her inspirational visits. Cindy values and nurtures the skills and ideas of our students and we look forward to her continued involvement with our school.”
Peter Berger, Woodville High School Teacher in charge of Australian Business Week
In March 2015 Cindy was a guest speaker at the Businesswoman of the Year Awards hosted by Enterprising Women Whyalla – having grown up in Whyalla, and going on to plan weddings and functions around Australia.
Cindy has also been able to turn her care, attention to detail and function management skills to memorial celebrations, acting as a funeral MC for clients, guiding proceedings and planning catering, décor and logistics.
“Losing my husband was such a shock that it was so valuable to me to have Cindy there to help me stop and think about what Michael would have wanted for his memorial.”
Brenda, March 2013
“Having worked with Cindy in the past and employed her function and catering services numerous times, it was such a relief to know that our family was in good hands as she managed the planning and catering for my mother’s memorial.
Everything ran so smoothly, and none of us had to answer questions from the kitchen or take time away from our loved ones to make sure everyone had enough to eat and drink, everything was taken care of for us.”
