Cindy Westphalen
Cindy Westphalen launched Cindy’s Classic Gourmet in Adelaide in 1987 and being both the Owner and Managing Director of the business, Cindy has used her creativity, her motivational skills and her own personal ambition and drive to secure Cindy’s Classic Gourmet a place as one of the most well-known and respected catering and wedding planning resources in South Australia.
As well as running her own catering business, Cindy has worked as a lecturer and motivational speaker. She and her family have been involved in property development, renovating a run-down country house into a regal manor in Byron Bay, on the New South Wales coast, and building and developing the modern and relaxing beach house ‘Enchanted Waters’ at Goolwa.
Cindy takes a hands-on approach to her catering business, and to caring for her brides (and grooms!), so that from your first enquiry to your final farewell you’ll benefit from the inspiration and attention to detail which takes the stress out of whatever event you are planning and allows you to really get excited.
Michelle Westphalen, Invitation Designer
Michelle Westphalen has worked with Cindy since 2005, when she began helping with enquires and bookings. In 2007 Michelle took on the role of Function Coordinator while Cindy was working in NSW and QLD. Michelle is a successful wedding invitation designer and brings this exciting dimension to the business.

Lisa has worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years, travelling around England and Europe working in and managing restaurants of varying sizes and cuisines, including managing a Thai restaurant in England, working as a chef in Portugal and as a tour guide for a winery in Greece. During her travels Lisa has worked for Cindy’s Classic Gourmet on and off for 15 years, before moving to Australia to live, in 2004 and permanently taking on the role of Head Chef. As well as bringing an international flair to Cindy’s, Lisa also has a passion for organic food and loves the creative options available to her when using fresh, ethically grown ingredients in her cooking.
Lucy Westphalen, Sous Chef
While studying to complete year 12, Lucy has obtained her Certificate II as a fully qualified chef.
